Shields

This strategy doesn't deal with the energy shields of your ships, but the use of fighters, missiles and planets. The trick is to place your fleet behind a planet, so the enemy cannot hit you with its beam weapons. Also the enemy's fighters and missiles have to get around the planet, allowing you to fire your point defense weapons for a longer time. All this time you've also been firing salvo after salvo of missiles at the enemy until they finally disintegrate.
