Hello,
I stumbled across this game from 1997 some time ago, but unfortunately it didnīt come with a manual. So there is some things that Iīm wondering about(how to use the "pause"-feature for example) Has anyone here played it? |

Hi, i have the game and manual and it's still on my computer
try F12 By the way...it's not mentionned in the manual, but if you manage to have peace agreements with all remaining civilizations, you win....no need to kill them all. Cheers This post has been edited by Anguille on Nov 4 2009, 03:34 PM |

If there's a patch, you should find it under Patchscroll.de
Don't think my game is patched though... I am still running XP. Cheers |

I apologize for responding to such an old topic, but in my case, the "pause" button is right next to my backspace button
the -1 game speed, +1 game speed, pause game and backspace buttons are in that order, at least for me. |

Hey, I should be thanking YOU.
I reinstalled my copy to answer that question, and just kept playing it again |

there is in fact a patch for pax imperia:
http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Pax-I...ain-Patch.shtml The patch is "unofficial" in that it was unofficially released by the game developing studio... See, the game was started by blizzard, who decided to drop it because they worried it will conflict with their vision for Starcraft. So they sold the unfinished game and rights to THQ. THQ hired a game design studio to finish the game. THQ though doesn't like to support games... so they will not release new patches after a while, the game studio then released "unofficial" patches themselves. The game should work fine with vista... with windows 7 it has an issue of distorted colors, I don't know how to fix that. (there were other issues, but most of those were fixed with 1.072) |
