OK now guys.
How many of you still play MoO2? (or MoO1 for that matter) Still have it installed on the harddrive? Even own it? I have both 1 and 2 installed on the HD Running XP, I had to tweek 1 to get it to work, but it does minus sound Rarely play 1, maybe once a year to remind me of how far we have come Used to play a game of 2 probably once a month That is one of my all time favorite games Haven't touched it since 3 came out, might not for awhile After the patch and the game gets settled in we will have to see how it compares to years of MoO2 What about the rest of you? Where does the MoO series rank with other games in your book? -------------------- I Like Chocolate - A LOT!!!!!

Hey man your not alone... In someways I think Master of Orion 2 is better than MOO3. Except the A.I is pretty useless, all it does is EXPAND towards you, Start Wars, Destroy anything in its way. MOO 3, though flawed, has a better A.I

I own moo2, and have the installation files for moo1.
I like the random tech choices in moo1, it brings much curiousity as too what tech I'm missing. I like the simple, relatively bright color interface. Moo2 is dark and dreary. I like moo1, especially when I can research death rays before lasers -------------------- "Windows has an unexpected runtime error. I loved MOO1, and played it for ages. When MOO2 came out, I played that for ages, too. One day, I found a site that would let me download MOO1 for free, so I thought I'd give the old classic another try. Turns out that there's too much of a contrast between 1 and 2 - 1 turned out to be too easy, and I finished the whole game in just a few hours. Additionally, the ending was less fulfilling than that of MOO2, as there was no point tally, which I'd gotten used to in MOO2 as well.
I still think MOO2 is better than MOO1 and MOO3. -------------------- I like boobies. A lot.

i know watcha mean lethal, i went back to one and i won a ton even on impossible, so i tried being races that i normally would never be. Then it got challenging and i would start to lose. but the Ship Design AI aint really worth the paper it could be written on. And that flaw really helps and makes it much easier, just find a bug and exploit.
Easy as 1, 2,3. -------------------- In the whole range of human activities, war most closely resembles a game of cards.

So far not only do people still play MoO2, but it seems most prefer it.
Maybe that will change with time and patches (lots and lots of patches...hehehe) -------------------- I Like Chocolate - A LOT!!!!!

well, ive played both moo1 and moo2.
ive been playing moo2 online ever since 99 and still play it on and off all the time. most people who have been playing moo2 online are still playing it, and they have been playing it since 96 ever since ten network. now most hardcore moo'ers play moo2 online on kali gaming network. you can get kali from http://www.kali.net for free just simply set it up, wait for the server ip to fix itself, then just go to the moo2 chat server. other websites: http://www.pixelexiq.com/moo2/ kali moo2 league http://www.masteroforion2.com/4381/ how to play moo2 online http://www.geocities.com/kfizzle/moo2new/ outdated moo2 site, but there is a great faq there that has a lot of basics in it and a few good custom races. |

I still play them. But lately, I haven´t been playing Moo1, because of memory issues.
I have been around the series since it started in 1994, I think. It has always been one of my favorites, alongside civ series, xcom series, wingcommander series... -------------------- Daniel Zan, Curitiba, Paraná, BRAZIL,
